I have come across Steve Scott’s work in different places online and never thought to follow it’s thread down to his website until today! and I was blown away. I really enjoyed his colorful and psychedelic character illustrations.

Steve Scott is an illustrator and animation director based out of London. He has been creating and directing commercials and has worked with clients such as Volvo, Nokia, Sky and many more. His work has also appeared in many publications including my favorite Pictoplasma.

Grandpeople is one my favorite studios from Norway. They specialize in graphic design, photography, illustration and creative direction since 2005. They have a very unique style that separates them from studios around the world.

Besides appearing in many books and publications, they hold a heavy arsenal of awards and nominations.

Check them out at grandpeople.no

Federico Jordán born 1969 is an amazing award winner editorial and advertising illustrator living in Mexico. His work has has been published in Business Week, Harvard Business Review, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, among others.

What I like most about his work is not only his use of shapes but also the amazing sense of freedom and originality from each one of his pieces. His work just seems very fresh!

Make sure to read his interview over at Illustration Mundo

These really cool oil paintings are from Maurizio Bongiovanni. They look like photos manipulated in photoshop, but what I find amazing about them is the distortion and use of color. I wouldn’t mind owning one of this pieces.

More Bongiovanni paintings here

Saw these over at Scott Hansen’s ISO50 Blog

I’m sure you have come across this illustrations in the last month or so, but I couldn’t resist not mentioning them on the blog. These works come from Matthew Lyons a 21 year old illustration student that is just finishing school at the Loughborough University in England!

I am amazed not only by the retro futuristic style of the work but also the amazing use of color and textures. Make sure to check out his blog with a more works here.

So its three hours before the release of Gorillaz Plastic Beach, and I found some scans of the new artwork for the deluxe edition. Jamie Hewlett, the artist behind the amazing Gorillaz characters and scenes has never failed to impress me.

Also I was able to find a sample and a video of the Stylo song featuring Mos Def & Bobby Womack and I guess Bruce Willis (haha awesome)
