
1 – To Start, tellus a bit about yourself where you were born and where you live…
I was born on December 25th and live in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia since 28 years ago almost 29 (damn I´m getting old)
2 – How did you get started in the arts?
Like most of us, I started with comic books and illustrations from my text books. then when I finished the high school I want to do comics but here we don’t have this kind of comic houses then deciced to study film maker because for me was like “movies equal comic” on movement but when I started was like “I just want to draw” and you don’t draw so much on this kind of career so i decide to take my path and start to looking on magazines and publishing houses with a crappy portfolio.

3- Where do yo draw your inspiration from?
music, love, not love hehe always try to put some personal on the works, its important let this little you in your work

4- Can you describe for us what a regular day is like for you?
Sleep, eat, work and watch crap on the web hehe pretty busy day also sometimes going out with my dog.

5- What is your most common approach for completing a project?
well, step by step its like
1-think in the concept
2-make various sketches
3-lay down on the couch and see how’s gonna figured out
4-scan
5- work on a computer for like 4 or 6 hours until the work its done
6-see at the next day if i liked or not
6- Out of all your work what is your favorite piece and why?
I really dont have, it’s better when you see every little work as the first you’ve made.
7- Is it easy to make a living in the work that you do?
Well here illustration its a new way of art

8- Who is your biggest influence?
Biskup, Flora, Soto, Sendak, Brown, Espinosa, Mignola, lot of people that make my work day by day.

9- How important is technology for the work that you do? What tools could you not live with out?
well my pen table and my laptop and scanner are like my organs hehe but for sure if i dont have those just took a pencil and piece of paper.

10- How important is color in your work and why?
Wow as a latin the color its very important becouse you always see color on the streets and this is kind a mark that i want to share as a latin.

11- Whats your favorite color?
tough question, i like red since childhood and the warm colors hehe.
