Dumbo is definitely one of my favorite spots in the city, not only because of it’s relaxed atmosphere but also because of its view of the city. Last weekend my father came in to visit from Florida, so like we usually do when family comes to visit, we went to Dumbo.
My father as you can tell from his extensive Flickr stream, he is a huge photo enthusiast so when he visits, his main priority is to go around the city hunting for good shots. And truth be told, New York is an amazing place, filled with places waiting to be captured in gigs.
This interest for photography has sort of started to rub off on me and it has made me to want to take more pictures. These two shots were taken after visiting the very cool toy / book store Zakka in Dumbo, Brooklyn. So when you visit make sure to check them out.
